The Selle Italia-Ghezzi is ready for the next race that will see six girls on the french roads of the Tour de l'Aude, a 2.1 category race to be held from May 15 to May 24 for a total of 10 stages and 858.9 kms. The girls engaged for the race are Bras, Boyd, Corneo, Kozonchuk, Romoli and Valsecchi and these girls will be headed by Walter Zini: "We start with the goal of doing well - commented the sports director - even if we can't go for a win in the general classification. But we have some fast gilrs and they can get good placement: in the last stages with the GC almost decided we may also seek to enter in the breakaways to search a stage win». The race will start on friday with a 3.9 km prologue.
Tomorrow morning a good initiative to promote road cycling education in schools will take place in Lariano, in the province of Rome, and Francesco Fabbri, one of the mechanics of the Selle Italia-Ghezzi, will be one of the protagonist: «This initiative is very important - says Francesco Fabbri - because there will be about 65 children of local schools: education in road bike is a very dear theme for us and the federation and so we will be helped also by the Regional Committee. Children will be able to learn all the rules and the meaning of signs in a small circuit that we are preparing thanks to the support of traffic police».
